Remember the old saying “everything happens in three’s”? Unfortunately one of the only ways this has manifested itself in my life is on the radio. At any given time, three radio stations in Sacramento are playing Van Halen songs. Usually “Hot For Teacher,” “Right Now,” and “Running with the Devil.”

Right now, “Right Now” is playing on The Jack (93.7). It takes about three seconds of lame piano solo to realize that it’s Van Halen. There is nothing wrong with piano solos, but something about most Van Halen songs just screams “kick me in the face” for some reason. I think it’s Sammy Hagar that I can’t stand.

Right now, I’m relieved to be listening to “The Worst of Opie and Anthony.”

Right now I am ecstatic. I just met with a former professor who is going to write me a recommendation letter for UCSC. Yay! I’m so excited!

That’s all I have, and now I must get back to my job.
